Hot galvanized is a metal corrosion prevention treatment process, mainly aimed at protecting steel materials from corrosion and rusting.

The core principle of hot galvanized
The core principle of this process is: in a high-temperature environment (approximately 450°C), steel components are immersed in molten zinc liquid, allowing a metallurgical reaction between zinc and the surface of the steel to form a solid zinc-iron alloy protective layer, and a pure zinc layer is covered on the outermost layer.
After this treatment, the surface of the steel will turn into a silvery white or bright gray color, which is both beautiful and durable.
The core features of the steel frame of the horse stable after galvanized:
1) Smooth surface and wear-resistant: After the coating solidifies, the surface is smooth and flat, without burrs or protrusions, and will not scratch the horses; at the same time, it has high hardness, which can withstand the collisions and friction during the daily activities of the horses, reducing the risk of coating damage and increasing the service life.
2) The galvanized layer has a stable structure, covers comprehensively, and is suitable for humid environments: The zinc layer has extremely strong adhesion. The zinc liquid can penetrate the edges, weld seams, and grooves of the components, achieving a complete surface coverage without any blind spots. In addition, the galvanized layer can resist weak acidic and alkaline environments formed by frequent water rinsing, urine, and feces, and is not easily eroded, maintaining the stability of the structure for a long time.
Advantages of Galvanization
1) Long-lasting anti-corrosion, extending the lifespan of the horse stable. The zinc coating of hot galvanized achieves a dual effect of "physical isolation + electrochemical sacrificial protection" (zinc corrodes first to protect the steel frame). In a damp and dirty environment of the horse stable, its service life can exceed 30 years, which is much longer than the common painting-based anti-corrosion methods (usually requiring maintenance every 1-3 years). There is no need for frequent repainting, rust removal or component replacement, saving long-term labor and material costs. At the same time, it avoids temporary closure of the horse stall due to metal corrosion repairs, ensuring the continuity of horse breeding.
2) Enhance safety and protect horses and personnel
Without rusted or fallen sharp protrusions, it prevents horses from being scratched or infected;
The horse stable coating is stable, ensuring the firmness of the horse stable panels, feed troughs, etc., and avoiding accidents such as detachment caused by rusted and loosened components;
The smooth surface is not prone to accumulation of dirt, facilitating daily cleaning (such as with high-pressure water jets), reducing bacterial growth, and better meeting the hygiene needs of horses.
3) Adapt to outdoor scenarios, with strong weather resistance
For outdoor or semi-open horse stables, the hot galvanized coating can resist the erosion of rain, snow, ultraviolet rays, and atmospheric pollutants. It does not age easily in high temperatures, low temperatures, or environments with drastic changes in humidity, maintaining long-term protective effects.
Summary
After being hot galvanized, the horse stable meets the requirements of "long-lasting anti-corrosion, simple maintenance, and safe durability" due to its unique features. It perfectly suits the special scenarios where the stable is humid, dirty, and requires frequent contact with horses. This process not only reduces the cost of breeding but also provides a safer and cleaner living environment for the horses. It is an important technological choice for improving the quality of the stable.
